Hello everyone, I dived straight in with a few posts and forgot to do the introduction first, so here it is:-
My name is Pete and I've been building bits of models on and off for years. (this is sounding a bit like an AA introduction - or Modeller's Anonymous, because I was anon till now)
I've mostly built/painted WWII, Napoleonic figures and some motorcycles. I say 'bits' because it's rare that I actually finish anything. But after seeing some of the model builders on YouTube recently it encouraged me to get back into the hobby, and to see the building phase through to completion. I've now built half a dozen or so kits since May that are in the process of painting, and believe me that is an achievement, beforehand it would have been that many in a decade.
Usually it's at the painting stage that my enthusiasm tails off but since I've used an airbrush I'm getting more involved.
It's great to join a forum like this, it feels like being in a model club, and everyone is friendly and encouraging. So thank you Paul and Lee for setting this up, and to the You tubers that helped to get me started again. Initially it was Hamilkar Barkas, qdc and MakingModelsAgain - (and I don't even build planes), but I'm finding more sites as I go along, too many to mention here. One day I might build up the courage to make a video myself.
Best Regards,
Pete

Re: Be-lated Hello from spruecutter
Welcome mate. I have NEVER finished a model (well plastic one anyway)
so we're both in the same boat. I have found being part of ISM is giving me the motivation and help to keep at it. Who knows! I might actually finish all my models this time around.
Take care and good to have you with us.
Jim
