Hey guys
First of all In need to mention that I’m mainly a Iwata user.
Many years ago I bought an H&S infinity and never used it. I pulled the H&S out of one of my drawers to give it a try and compare it to my Iwata’s (HP-B+ and HP-C+). The first thing I did was to clean the H&S in an ultrasonic bath.
I’ve noticed something strange in the different level of sound my airbrushes make. You can see this in the short movie.
Is this normal that the H&S is hardly making any sound, and if not, what can I do to make the H&S operational again?
Thanks
Bennet

Defo something wrong with the infinity. Have you cleaned the nozzle with a reamer to ensure all traces of dried paint are removed. How does it function with the needle nozzle removed?

Hi Bennet
I too have the Infinity and in use it makes a similar noise to your Iwata. Have you tried looking at the valve at the hose connection? Where the quick release is for connecting the air supply, if you remove that and look inside there should be a screw which if you remove will have a small spring and the valve above it. It may be that it is either seized or perhaps the screw is gone in to far and though you push down on the trigger there is not enough movement to allow any air through.

@ SteveW: I didn't think about the coupling because both airbrushes use the same coupling in my video. Just to make sure I connected booth airbrushes to my backup hose and the result is the same.
@ Paul: It functions (sound wise) as the Iwata with the nozzle removed. Afterwards I put in a drop a cellulose thinner and tried again with with the reamer as far as I dare without damaging the nozzle resulting in some minor improvement.
thanks for your feedback
bye for now,
Bennet

We might be talking cross purposes here. I have scanned in the parts breakdown with the area I'm referring too.

Hey SteveW
Thanks for clarifying that.
I did loosen the screw and it has improved things but there is still a big difference.
I'll definitely try it with some paint when I have the time. In the meantime I'll probably get the H&S infinity CR because I still like using laquer paints.
