Chiefs 1/35 Tamiya Churchill Mk VII

Post by chief5437 »

Hi guys, all done with this one. An old kit from tamiya, but went together like a dream. I put fit way above accuracy when rating a kit, and this thing gets 10/10 from me! I added the PE set from Eduard, not a massive set, but still adds some finer detail that's hard to manufacture in plastic. This also renewed my love of PE, I'd sort of gone off it a bit. Some of the prices just can't be justified, but this set was quite cheap, and you get a lot for your money. You do get some figures with this, to that end the hatches are only glued with PVA. That way I can add the crew later if required (I have a long term plan for my 1/35 British armour) lol!

Anyway, enough of my drivel, on with the show!

Holy-crap Chief, that is the badgers nadgers!!! :eeek: :th: :th:

Love the colour of this and the tonal variation looks superb. The mud and dirt is spot on and the whole thing should be titled *A Top Drawer Example of Painting and Weathering".

Brilliant!! :cheers2:

Wonderful work Chief!
I see you've left the front fenders off.
I wanted to do that also, but I decided to give here a bit more body.
And I needed a place for the stowage and tank riders.
Once again a brilliant piece of work mate! :cheers2:
