G'day from Australia!

Post by timtamtung »

Hello everyone!

I'm Tung Nguyen from Melbourne and very pleased be join such a great modelling community here at ISM. A bit about myself:

- I started modelling at a very young age when my dad bought me a Revell kit of the Super Etendard jet carrying the Excocet missle :D
- built a few model airplane kits ( corsair / blackbird / harrier / huey and cobra helicopters and the bismark and that was it.
- Stopped the hobby during 4th grade. Now, having just turned 25 years young-a ww2 documentary that I was watching got me back into modelling again.
- I am concentrating on collecting a range of WW2 military tanks and vehicles, mostly in 1/72...I have just finished building 2 panzers in 1/76 scale from airfix and boy was it a blast to get back into this hobby again.
- Over the last month, having watched so many different modelling videos and reviews....I have learnt so much! Heck i didn't even know about weathering, acrylics, drybrushing or washes haha. Wow times have changed and i'm eager to learn much much more.

My Favourite Vehicles:

* WW2 Tank: Panzerkampfwagen VI "Tiger 1"
* WW2 Plane: Spitfires
* Modern Tank: M1 Abrams
* Modern land vehicle: Hummvee
* Modern aircraft: F18 Hornet
* Modern Helicopter: US Blackhawk, equal with the Chinook!

Thanks for stopping by :thumb2:
