Frogtape

Post by MerseyTrainz »

Does anyone use Frogtape, the question is, is it any good for masking models, are there any problems or pitfalls with it? if good which one, Green or Yellow?

Don't use it mate, stick with Tamiya.

I've used it and got bleed and so has pretty everyone who's tried it! I only use it to fill big gaps between white tack or cover large areas that have a tamiya tape edge.... :D
Where does all the bloody time go.....?

As paul said, it's great for covering off areas to protect from over-spray, but not so much to get a bleed free demarcation line. It's much cheaper than Tamiya tape for the above purpose, but stick with TT if you are likely to spray on it directly.

The other thing, is don't leave it on for days and days. It'll start to peel off within 24h.

So yes, get some but don't expect it to beat TT
