Downed revell1:72 spitfire mob

Post by Gingerspook »

hi
This is a first attempt for me. A friend at work liked some of my previous builds and gave me an old kit that he'd found in his garage. I thought nice, I'd build it and give it back to him.....he then saw a build of a crashed spitfire and liked it. I stupidly said "I could do that for you"....

Do this is where we are now.

The build was very straight forward. The paintings where it's going to get interesting, let alone the dio!!

Quick update. Started the weathering process using Ultimate dark wash, humbrol oil stain glass and a thinned tamiya black wash. Also attached the ez line.

It's taking "shape" nicely...look forward to seeing it with the dio around it to see what "impact" it has on the outcome! No pun intended

Few more pics of the weathering. Also, I've started the base using fimo air drying clay and lastly textured it with an old toothbrush. Now leaving it to dry before I start painting it.
