... so I let myself in. Hope you don't mind!
I've returned to scale modelling after a long break (I was seduced by 28mm wargame miniatures in about 1998, gave that up in 2001 because of work, relationships, children, the usual stuff) but I kept my stash of 1/35 military kits, figures and small vehicles, for a rainy day.
Well, the rainy day is here. I've been ill, and not working, for some years now and with a lot of time on my hands I took up my brushes and knives again. I went back to 28mm minis but was seduced by Tamiya' mid-production Tiger kit last year. Now it's been used as a testbed for my new airbrushing skills and while I'll never win any prizes I'm quite pleased with my progress. I have some vague ideas about building either one of each Panzer type, or maybe the whole Tiger family.
With the coming of the Internet, a whole world of resources has been opened up and I'm taking advantage of this ... which brings me here. On impulse I bought a Tamiya Chieftain kit from Hobbycraft a couple of weeks ago, and was looking up this kit online when I found a thread on building the very same on this here forum.
So, I'm here. Any questions?
Um, hello? The door was open...
