In the Navy GB question
I understand the GB is for navy aircraft only, but do USMC aircraft count as well, if used on navy vessels? Examples, AV-8A/b, OV-10,A-4, E/A-6, F-4, F-18. Thanks.

Re: In the Navy GB question
Since the SiG is limited to aircraft, my opinion is yes. As long as the airplane in question is shown to have been deployed in a joint effort by a navy carrier. The more builds we get to see the better.

Re: In the Navy GB question
As the USMC is subject to the Department of the Navy when it comes to acquisitions etc, troops and equipment deploy on ships and their history, traditions, nature and language are naval, I'd think it fits.
In terms of planes they also have Navy Build Numbers.

Re: In the Navy GB question
Sorry all, This is my first GB and want to get started. So rereading the GB rule it's a "Build and share any Naval Aircraft that was produced and in service from any country, conflict or non-conflict." Doesn't have to be deployed on ship. Getting lots of support, so is there an administrator or judge to rule on this. USMC aircraft counting as Navy aircraft?

Academy's 1/72 OV-10A or D from VMO-2 either in green, grey and black or two tone brown Desert Storm. Fujimi, A-6E from VA-36 Desert Storm or EA-6A from VMAQ-2 and if I can fit it in AV-8A from VMA-231 in Winter camo. If I can get enough references I may even whip up an RCN F2H-3 Banshee from Hobby Craft.

Indeed, and better yet, your cutter just needs to float and you're in!chief5437 wrote:Hi mate, welcome to the forumwellzy wrote:Hi all as the new guy l don't want to make waves , but what about Coast Guard , l belive the USCG comes under the jurisdiction of the US Navy so hope this will be acceptable
Cheer's wellzythis thread is from an old gb. There is a 'if it floats' gb going on at the moment. It's in the gb/sig section if you fancy joining in!
