Eduard 1/48 Mk2 F6 Hellcat

Post by Paul »

I'm building the dual combo of these kits, one in the blue scheme the other in the camo. I'll finish the camo one later on this month.

Great kit that goes together really well, i've got the dual combo profi pack with resin wheels for just £17 posted so a real bargain.

Building these as a demo show piece to show the Ultimate washes at the Telford show so no chipping as i didn't want to take away the focus from the washes.

Looking nice love the finish especially the panel lines
It's not the number of times you get knocked down but how many times you get back up

Is that a sand wash on the panels? Never thought of using a light wash on dark panels, looks really good.
Regards, Dave.

Aha! You've beaten us to it, answering what colour wash(es) you used.

Yet another op-drawer, 'exhibition quality' build from the House of Bretland.

All I've got to do now is figure out how to get mine looking half ... no ... a TENTH! ... as good as yours, Paul.

Cheers,
Mark

Two little maxims to help us on our way through life ...

1. Just pray that the light at the end of the tunnel isn't .... the headlight of the oncoming locomotive! :eeek:

and

2. The general idea is to die young as late as possible. (I think we've all figured that one out!)

On the bench ..... Nope! They're still all in the stash!!

That is nice! I really like just the subtle weathering with the washes and panel fading, just the right amount.

I have the same combo, and this is one of the schemes I will be making. Great looking model, will have it as an example of what mine should look like.
What paints did you use?
