Thinners and airbrush cleaners

Post by BigSea »

Hi Guys,

Probably a silly question that reflects my newbe status, but do you need both a thinner and an aircrush cleaner, as they both seem to do the same job, but to a different degree? Would using more thinner actually clean the airbrush, and what are your thoughts on a home-brew thinner, bearing in mind I'm a pensioner on a fixed income?

Yours in ignorance

If it works for you then I guess go for it, but you can't beat our thinner and ab cleaner. Nothing I've ever used works as well as Ultimate thinner and cleaner. No other thinner works with all acrylic paints either. :thumb2:

BigSea, spend the money on a good thinner. For the cleaner you can use Windowlene or Automotive windshield washer fluid if you stick with acrylics.
