Re: Tool list?
Well i would say just your basic stuff really
So here is what i use
Hobby knife (and spare blades)
Sprue cutters
Sanding sticks or paper in various grids (i use the Ultimate sticks)
Glues and cements (Tamiya extra thin and Zap a gap CA in my case)
A set of small.drill bits ranging from 0.3 to 1.2 (often sold as a set with 2 of each size)
Pin vise
Flat nosed pliers without ridges for extra grip
Tweezers
All the other stuff could be of use but not always needed
Photo etch tools are nice and i do have them but i still do most work with pliers and tweezers
But that is basicly all you need to make a model without stuff for painting and weathering that is
But it doesn't really matter if you ise them for planes or armor
Your basic tools are always the same no matter what you are going to build
I hope this helps
Cheers , Mark

Re: Tool list?
As with everything else mentioned above. I picked up a packet of small wooden stir sticks at the department store. I've used them for multiple things from stirring paint pots, to gluing sandpaper to that way I can reach hard to get to spots. I've even put small bits of Blue Tac (or similar products) on the tip to hold items while painting.
On the bench:
Hasegawa F-4G 1/48
Academy U-2S 1/48 (temporarily on hold)

Re: Tool list?
I tend to go by what I need at the time. Say for example, currently I'm buying new sanders as the current ones I have are kinda old and I never looked after them. I still have my sanding papers, tamiya's soft sanding sponges and flexi file. Buying new paint brushes as well.
If your after a list http://www.swannysmodels.com/Toolbox.html is who I went of when I got "fully" back into modeling

I would not be without my electric paint stirrer, so much easier than having your wrist drop of. Also such a cheap tool to own.....marvelous !

Re: Tool list?
Cocktail stick with a sizable blob of blutac on one end, probably one of my most used tools lol.
John, whats on my bench? Usually a mess and a couple of different models a week.
