Revell 1:32 Westland Lynx HAS.3

Post by Joesdad »

Just a quick pictorial view of this kit

Image

Unusual white plastic on these first spures a'la old Matchbox stuff. Not bad detail but the plastic seems....er..less dence than it should be.

Image

That's better! Seems more detail on the grey plastic and has a nicer texture. The bottom two spures in the photo are doubled up if you was wondering why there is only two rotor blades!

Image

Reasonable instrument panel. There are decals for the dials.

Cheers then

Clear gear is the best I've ever seen!!!

Revell instruction are not the clearest you can get, in fact I find them just this side of crappy

Two scheme's to choose from...

Image

Drcals seem nice, flat and in register. I'm not keen on wrap round decs though.

There you go. Alright it's not a Trumpeter kit but it's got some nice cabin detail and good external stuff. It's a shame it doesn't come with a rotor folding choice but you can pick this kit up quite cheaply. Seems a good introduction to building helicopters, which is why I bought her.

Yes.. It is supposed to look like that!

Hi
Did you build this kit as it is around £15 now and was thinking about getting it if I can sneck it into the stash.

Hi Martin
Yes I did start anyway, here is where I'm at

Image

I'm actually ready to press on with the old girl. I was waiting for a replacement canopy, which rolled up a couple of weeks before Xmas. What I need to do next is tint the canopy, mask it, fit it and then I'm ready for primer
There's a couple of reasons I didn't post her up, mojo was down and needed just to do something different (for me anyway) and secondly Photobucket was playing up (as it is now...hate it).
I got mine for £15 and yes get her, it's great value as it goes together great, barely any filler or swearing. And at that money you can add all the PE want. It's made want to get more helicopters as well....

If you want anymore info Martin drop pm me mate....

Cheers buddy

Cheers for the reply. The one you have is slightly different than the one I am looking at. This is the one I was looking at Westland SEA LYNX Mk.88A http://www.revell-shop.de/eng/Products/ ... k-88A.html but I expect it to build similar
