finely a reason to get it.. The box is full and the detail is REALLY nice as most Trumpeter kits are.. Cant wait to get at it so here are a few pics and i hope i can remember to take pics as i go..

Sprues with Top Secret parts usually i don't like seeing these cause it means i'm either going to break, screw up or loose these parts
The pics with the parts outlined in red are the parts that were covered

With that level of supervision, this should be an awesome build!

Well after some time at the bench watching the POP hangouts for some background noise and a few laughs   i got some building done and Yes i did remember to take pics

Step 1 Done. Chassis together
Image

Step 2 Done. Engine
Had to do some filling on the front of the engine good chance you wont see it but there was injector marks and bad seams..
Image

Most of the engine together and the PE fan belts are on. Little tip to add the PE is to leave the alternator off add the PE then put the alternator makes things alot easier But i didn't do that :wall:
Image
Image
Image

Step 3 Done. Added the engine gearbox and transfer case and front bumper and rear leaf springs the the Chassis
Image

Step 4 Done. Rear axles together
Image

Step 5 Done. Added the rear axles and rear drive shafts and some rear suspension parts and the rear cross member to the chassis then left front leaf
springs
Image

Step 6 Done. Added more rear suspension parts built the storage box and step for the right side and added to the chassis, built the fuel tank added to the left side off the chassis, then the left side leaf springs and couple other little bits
Image

Went a little over board when sanding the seam on the fuel tank so had to add the fuel tank straps back, just some tiny paper strips and white glue and done
Image

Thats it for now.. Oh here a pic of the supervisor doing what supervisors do best

Well it does a lot of damage but the Russians and Soviets where never known for great accuracy so it would probably deatroy an entire village without hitting the building that was the target
but i still would hate to be on the receiving end of it

Soooooo another update. I never took a picture of step 7. It was only putting the front axle together then adding to the chassis and then add the shocks. Wasn't very exciting.
Step 7 Done.
Here is step 7 on the plans
Image

Step 8 Done. Assemble the front rims and hubs and add the tires to the rims need to careful here as these tires are directional tread patterns and then added left side tire and some front end/steering parts to the chassis
Image
Image

Step 9 Done. Assembly of the 4 rear rims and tires. Again need to be careful here to as the tires are directional to.
Image
Image
The directional tread pattern
Image

Step 10 Done. Add the 4 rear tires (again careful installing as for the directional tread) and right side front tire and steering parts. Then assemble the drivers seat and then bend Photo Etch for the rear bumpers (that was fun when i dont have any tools for bending PE  )
Image

Step 11 Done. Add the fuel, brake and clutch pedals. Install seat and the back cab section and then the steering wheel assembly.
Image
Never got a pic of it in primer :wall: but here its is painted. I used XF-24 for the grey and XF-1 forthe flat black.
Image
Image

Step 12 Done. Assemble the Dash. Added some little buttons and knobs and some Photo Etch parts here to.
Image
Image
Again never got pics of this primed up either but here it is painted.Decal on and couple other bits added.
Image

Step 13 Done.Assembly of the cab and added the right doors.
Image
Image

Step 14 Done. Added the inner fenders and left side door. Door isn't glued in place as i thinking about having it open.
Image

Step 15 Done.Added the outside fenders. Head light lens are not added going to add them after everything is painted same with the marker lights.
Image
Image

Well that's it for now. No pic of the supervisor today but here is a pic of a young bull moose in my back yard. :pistols:

Looking good mate. The green is really nice as well, and looks like a nicely detailed kit there as well.

P.S. "The Supervisor" is cool!

So it appears i have lost some pictures (pretty sure i took them : ) this is the only pic i can find of the weathering i did.
Here is Ultimate dart dirt over a coat of aqua gloss.
Image

And here she is all done (i think  ). I used Ultimate dark dirt them some homemade pigments for the dust all over the truck and smokey/burnt look where the missiles would burn the tubes, and plaster of paris mixed with Ultimate Dark Dirt to make the muck/mud on the tires and undercarriage.

Really enjoyed this build the kit went together really good no problems anywhere and i'm pleased with the weathering i'm starting to get the hang of making things look used and dirty. Now of to try and get some good pics of it then of to the next build
