A little update got the chassis primed and painted stynlrez primer and tamyia flat black
Image
Then got the rear end assembled primed and painted
Image
Then masked off the protection plate thing in tamiya titanium silver painted the discs and got them in place and a test fit of the exhaust
Image
A little clean up around the plate thing at the front but nothing major, got the exhaust painted steel
Image

Till next time happy modeling

Its me who's never ever built one before Scott, Dan's maybe got one or two finished to date.
I personally don't have a clue where to start, what to strip or what paint to use or which order to build the thing... lol..  : :wall:
I must confess to seriously neglecting all hobby related activities of late.... My get up and go has got up and gone..
I'll try and shake myself and get motivated a little...
All the best guys.. :thumb1:

I've not had to strip any chrome off yet not much on it and the two or three bits that are chrome are the best quality I've ever seen so might leave those and see how they look later on in the build and all tamiya paints and stynlrez primer and doods get cracking or I might have to come and motivate you :pistols: :pistols:
Scott I've done a few cars really like doing them but also like the odd stuff and was just waiting for the right gb if not a car one specific the tamiya one later in the year so I think a few more cars this year seen as I've just got a few more (wink wink) hope you are all well and happy modeling

Got a little bit done over the past couple of days it seems time is at a premium these days but still managed to progress a little bit
Got the wheels done now and look OK for plain steel rims
Image
Image
Image
Then came the front wheel arches with lower part of the engine and gearbox
Image
A mock up of the body
Image
Moved on to the tub primed in badger black stynlrez and glossed with Aqua gloss I like the colour of the primer for the interior
Image
Image
Steering wheel was a bit of a pain with all the reference points all little decals :wall:
Image
And the dashboard
Image
And the seats had to spray the red because I had a nightmare with the decals :bash: :bash:
Image
Image
That's all for now

Update, yay all the decals are done and windows are in
Image
Image
Image
Image
Image
Then I had to apply some metal foil type mirrors on the doors and rear view
Image
Image
Image
With all that done now only the lights and a few other little bit to do, also been digging about on tinternet and it turns out that this particular car was based on the new Toyota gt86 which in my view is a better looking thing than with all the decals,
Image

So I'll see ya around happy Modeling :th: :th: :th:
