Trumpeter 1/16 T-34/85 model 1944 Factory 174 final reveal

Hi guys
So this is the final reveal of my second entry in this GB
The third one was finished faster but was a lot smaller

It was a pretty nice build with some challenges and a few issues but those where relatively easy to overcome and some where my own fault
If you want to build a big kit then this defently is a kit to think about
It has a ton of parts and a lot of possibilties in terms of the camo and nations that used it
But to stay with in the rules of this GB i made it like it was supplied and in Soviet markings
Besides that i plan to make a base for it later on when i take it to a contest (i don't think they like it if i leave a lot of pigments on their tables)

But without further ado ,here is my T-34/85 in 1/16 scale
So grab a drink it is a big one
























































And that is all i have
But it should be about the largest final reveal i ever posted
I was thinking about adding some stowage but i had a thought of enough is enough
There is more then enough to see in and on this tank and once i finished it i was happy with how it turned out and don't think it needs anything more then what is already there

I still need to make a base for this big boy but i will have to go out for some materials first and a slab of wood to put it on i think (don't remember if i already have a few of those)
And for display purposes i want to use some styrene tubes with magnets glued in to them to hold the upper hull and turret shell
But i don't know if that will be strong enough if someone picks it up

This build is huge! Is it still a scale miniature?

I love the details of the interior. There are sooo many builds out there with nice exterior, but with interior, especially in such details, is really rare I think.

There is not going to be anything like this for a while
Well not this scale anyway
The magnets thing was not my own idea but it was pointed out to me that it could work
And it did
I still have a T-34 left from Cyber hobby with a bunch of after market stuff like Thoma shields wich where very rare at the time
But i have other builds i want to do first to make some room in the stash
And after this i had enough T-34 to last a while
Allthough i still need a base for it before it goes to the SMC later this year
But i am in no hurry with that

That kit is beautiful all by itself, but it's your paint job that makes it a masterpiece, Mark! Your build thread made me a little itchy for a kit of that size, especially the T-34. Very nicely done! Jens

They are worth building that is for sure
But they take up a lot of space during the build with all those pieces and parts laying around
But if you can find one for a decent price they are defently worth buying one
