the wookiees hole presents tamiya 1:32 zero finished.

Post by wookiee76 »

Woo hoo! Finally finished this epically superb kit, one of tamiyas best. Hgw belts and maketar masks being my first foray into aftermarket, paint is mainly tamiya thinned with either x20a or mr hobby levelling thinner along with some vallejo and citadel, washes either Ultimate or citadel again with a mix of pigmment, pastel and oil weathering. Feel free to ask any questions, i learned a lot on this build and am more than happy to share.

Love the paintwork and the weathering. That canopy is extraordinarily crisp. Love the figure too mate.

Cheers.

I really need to do a Zero. Have you done a Tamiya 1/48 for these? Good? Bad?

Just don't think my shelf would be happy with a giant 1/32 :p

I hear the 1:48 and 1:72 are pretty darn good, it isn't really that big, especially if you do the folded wing tip option, that cuts a couple of inches off the width and this is the cheapest of the tamiya 1:32 kits.

What a stunner. That's an awesome paint finish there mate. The surface detail is beautiful and the final weathering and staining is top notch. :jd:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
