Gee, too bad I already entered my Space Coupe into the Non ISM fun build and I did vote yes for the build. i have a question about the build. Can we kit bash a build that is not from a past or current sci-fi show or movie? If not, that's fine, because, perish the thought, I would have to go buy another kit. Either way put me in coach, I'm ready to play.

Kit bash is welcome! It's just a wide open sci-fi build, so go crazy :) Steampunk/Dieselpunk, googie Jestsons style, whatever is your pleasure. I know it doesn't state that explicitly in the intro, but I will amend that for the final, official build sub-forum when it goes up.

I have a copy of the original and the remake with Tom Cruise. I saw the original one in the 1950's as a kid on a Friday night tv show and it creeped me out. Looking forward to see this build.

Well, I'd love to see a 1/350 Enterprise, but if there's 4 other GB's on your plate, maybe the viper or raider ;)

A vicious rumour has surfaced that Poe's X-Wing from Bandai may be coming my way from Japan when it is released in July
I will neither confirm or deny the notion of such frivolous spending of money on models when there is a house to be built

how does that sound???? will it work on the wife???

Yep! I was gonna wait til Friday (when the poll ended) or 40 "yeas" before making any announcements; it would seem we hit that yesterday.

I've got a detail or two to hammer out, but expect an official notice within the next 48 hours.

Edit to add: to pass the time, if you haven't already, feel free to post what you're thinking of doing :D

I'm going to try (emphasis on the try!) and scratch build something from old kits (I need to make room on the shelves!) and parts from the spares bin. Initial thoughts are for some kind of 'drop ship' like they have on Aliens. I'm not very confident though, lol!

Sure, it's no different than doing a diorama with 2-3 vehicles, really. I'd only say that they should be related in some way, I.e. the IBO kits in one thread and the pair of UC Gundams in the other.

If you've got the beans for a diorama, that would be amazing, but not required by any means :)

"Edit to add: to pass the time, if you haven't already, feel free to post what you're thinking of doing."

Following the riots that took place after the election of the President, several of the western states succeeded from the union and as they controlled the flow of water to Southern California, this came to be known as the "Water rights War". As the war has dragged on, the technology has deteriorated and this has resulted in some interesting field engineering.

July 1 can't get here fast enough...
Both my Boeing 747 and X wing won't come until midish July....what is the end date for build??
All the way to October 31, I was late getting this started so I wanted to give everyone enough time to find kits and build them :th:

Not sure of scale for those airliner kits 1/200 or 1/350???
If I remember right N Gauge trains are about 1/148, maybe you could look for planes/lost kids at 1/144?
I got a 1/390 'cause I am cheap and it was $6!!!

Nope. Not from a movie. Yes it is a backstory for a scratch build. And I agree that the 1st of July can't get here soon enough. More to follow when the build reveal is done.
