Dans Tamiya 1/48 initial Africa-corps

Post by Kingdan »

This is the little gem that I will be building (thanks Tim) it will be completely out of the box as it will be my first piece of armour so just going to put it in on a verlinden base, I will be making a little mod to the base as its not quite what I wanted but time was a factor

It's begun lol having never built armour before thought I would stick to the instructions and start with the wheels what a boring job lost the will to live half way through but soldiered on and got them done ready for paint  and then the on to the tiger got most of the big assembly done and dry fitted will glue it all down today and hopefully finish building it by tonight

Well I've almost finished the base just needs a flat coat on the bits and bobs and a bit of Dried out Ultimate sand for the last bit of dust, I've found Ultimate washes dried out make very convincing sand and dust. I have modified the base slightly from the original just because I like it better :nena:

Well it's been a few days since I last posted so progress report and well it's all going swimmingly  it's all had a bit of chipping and a oil dot aswell as some Ultimate light dirt and rust there's still a bit more weathering to do but think I'm on the right track, the base is almost done it just needs some dust here and there but so does the tiger so will do it all in one go really happy thus far,on with a few pictures
