Revell 1/32 Big Cat Sea Lynx MK88A

Post by RossiM1 »

Got this a while ago off my good lady for a Xmas present, and waited until I could get the Eduard interior photo etch and also the Scale Warships excellent rotor fold set.
Like all the Revell large scale kits I have done so far , this is a fantastic kit to build good detail even out of the box, everything fits and the decal sheet looks amazing.
Assembly is really quick and straight forward, and the Eduard detail set enhances the cockpit nicely.
Have painted with a custom mix of X13 metallic blue and X4 blue with about a 20% mix of gloss black X1, for the very dark metallic blue, and a custom mix of yellows and orange to achieve the two tone yellow areas. Here is where its at, at the moment.

This is a smashing kit, I nearly finished the RN version. The Eduard ip set really looks the biz Gary, I wished I'd heard of the rotor set as well.
Yes.. It is supposed to look like that!

Back to the Lynx, work on the rotors and the fold set, the Scale Warships set is superb, 3d printed parts, that are an exact replacement for the Revell bits, just have to beware of which rotor blade carriers are for the front and which are for the rear. Have added the undercarriage legs as well , and added the floatation bags on the pontoons.
Here are the update photos.
