I've found a mistake with the instructions on this kit.
Photo shows PE5 should actually be PE9.

Top fuselage shows PE5 doesn't fit, then the correct fitting of the PE9.

Loads of work done since last update.

So far so good, first time at using Vallejo primer & Hataka paint set for helicopters, & I'm very impressed by both especially the hataka paints.

The camera & sensor pod was painted black inside then painted with light ghost grey.

So far the kit is a dream to put together with very little filling required.

Hi Scott- looks great!
Ive got this kit too and want to try it this year as my first helo - Ive been following Matt's (Doogs) build as well - which was spectacular!

What will you do with the gun barrel?

Thanks, Not too sure yet Chris, was thinking of using the kit only, but after seeing the same build of doogs, I think it may be the aftermarket kit as the kit barrel is poor compared to the rest of the kit.

Nice job on this helicopter!

I'm glad to hear that Kitty hawk models are becoming ok kts 'cause before i've heard and read that it was a mess to build. lots of fit issues, wrong shapes etc etc. Maybe i'll give them a try.

Go on that way mate.

Cheers

Ok update time, new gun barrel arrived from eBay, also new airbrush after my old one died.

Almost ready for decals now, will have to make some marking for the missiles as these are not supplied with the kit.

Think I need a little more weight in the front as the tail dragging, hopefully it will sort itself once the main rotor is attached.

Thanks for the comments.

This is the completed kit, went together without any problems in the end, aftermarket gun barrel was a good addition to this kit.

Very nice work there! :th:

Did you pin wash the rocket pods' interior? Might make them pop a bit better if you did.
