Ivan's WW1 what if trench runner Gundam

Post by NorthernModeller »

GREETING. Because Jason (Lysus) is evil, he MADE me buy another gundam. I have bought this and should be with me by next week, I know its a cheap kit but I have plans, lie my last test that didn't work out so well, to be a WW1 what if soldier, more than likely german running over a trench or something like that :)

Image

I would like it to look a little bit like this one I saw online, but less busy

Nice! I was hoping you'd come back to this idea! Glad you could make it :)

I'll take the blame for ya, you've earned it a little. I AM a bad influence

So, we start. I just love the way the bandai kits go together so simple and so many little sub assemblies.

after a few parts, we start to get something that resembles a torso. I am not going to be fully assembling the kit at start because I am going to be painting the Sub assemblies separately.

Image

these builds start to come together really damn quick

I have already done a thread on a previous gundam build if it being put together piece by piece, I did not want to do that for this build as I am going to make more effort in the painting, weathering and vignette stages.

Right, so he starts to get legs, and then he some how get completed. This is pretty much the "BASIC' build, I am not going to be glueing and dealing with seam lines, then painting the sub assemblies.

BUT I HAVE A COOL IDEA, I want to build him using some wires and such like he has lost his arm and he is on the 'Final battle of the somme" type of feel. I want to make him look like the "Final war machine" of the war

Ohh there is plenty of time, he is all built, just needs a dio putting together and he needs painting and weathering up, could not be easier ;)
