Now that's a cavity. Sounds like you need a root canal and a cap.

I finally finished assembling my new bench today. That also means that I can now show the my booth in its final place.
The hose is obviously not attached yet, the vent is right above the booth.

Yes, I had it put there during construction. The decision to get this booth had been made long before I started planning the house, so it was a no-brainer to put that vent in.

HOME Depot today, I looked at metal dryer vents to hook my tube up to.
Problem is open window is the only option as she won't let me punch through the wall
Last night was raining and blowing stupidly.....who wants a window open then??
I may have to relent and put the spray stuff downstairs in the workshop where I did get the wall vent....and planned to make a spraybooth.
I can't really blame her as my original plan was to have just the downstairs space, not a second upstairs one in a spare room. Then things morphed into my workshop becoming the storage and staging room for everything... so I set up models upstairs.
First world problem not worth stressing over.

Whats the window like. Can you make a filla panel with the vent in it to seal the open window. That can be removed when you want.

As I installed my vent my timber modelling shed it was relatively easy to add the hole... however my daughters decided it look ugly poking out the side so wanted to disguise it.... this was their response.

Scott, I went with a removable window insert for my situation.

Image

Two plies of hardboard, with an exhaust port fitting purchased from a dealer in woodworking machinery. The 45 degree angle of the fitting keeps airflow turbulence to a minimum. If you have the right style of windows, a removable solution like this might work for you.

You have a slider window, mine is a crank...still could work and certainly an option
I appreciate the photo as it helps me visualize a solution

I am hoping after the city has signed off on everything I can pop a vent through. I think the real frustration is I looked at it and so easily could have done it in the construction phase. I had it at the framing and plywood stage and was thinking to make it, but didn't press the argument. Now there are a lot more layers to go through to retro fit it

Due to lack of interest I went hunting for the best price for a direct purchase and managed to order yesterday for £248 which looks close or even better than the group price... already on route for Tuesday delivery 😄
