Nitrile Gloves

Post by AlexBB »

Hiya Guys,
Can anyone please recommend any 'decent' but not silly expensive Nitrile gloves? Looking for a decent vendor on ebay who someone has used and happy with the product.

I bought a box of ebay but they were rubbish quality and I think maybe a copy product them seemed so bad...

I dropped by my LMS today and asked if they did some and was advised they don't bother stocking as everyone just buys of evilbay...

Try the local pharmacist. They might cost a little bit more than ebay, but you'll get that back by avoiding shipping.

Ask if you can have a peek at what they use behind the counter, it will give you an idea of quality and even which size to get if they let you try one on.

Thanks mate.

I'm using tattooist gloves, although top quality they have a very small grip pattern on the finger tips.

In the UK supermarkets don't sell this kind of thing unfortunately.

First off, thats a decent price, not much point spending the time to find cheaper. And `Bodyguards` are an industry known name.
I`m `in the trade` on this subject, so I thought I could throw in a few points for the confused.
The `Nitrile` glove has only one reason for its somewhat recent existence. Its sole purpose is to prevent your client, customer, patient or yourself from a visit to A&E with a head like a pumpkin :ooops: , because of a `Latex` allergy. It exists, I`ve witnessed it, its not cool.
As a modeller do you need to wear `Nitrile`? Only to protect yourself or your family. You should be able to find the `Latex` gloves cheaper.
`Nitrile` gloves dont have that `snap` and stretch of a Latex glove, as they are more of a plastic than a rubber. (No rubber at all in fact)
Most would go Latex first for `feel` and price, unless the above issues prevented this choice.
If it`s got a Dragon or a Dwarf in it .....I`m out ! :pistols:
