#14 1/48 Monagram F-117A

Post by Fridgy »

Well here she is lads.

I'm happy to say she is finished, made some mistakes along the way, of which 2 of them are hard lessons for me as they were easily avoidable
1 I lost the pilots arm after having him all finished and ready to go
2 was using CA to attached landing gear doors, and had a candle going to clean the applicator........... well the wing now has some damage..... candles and models dont mix apparently

really happy with the paint, wasnt too sure how to make an all black plane look visually interesting (I must thank Mark, I stole his idea just used different paint colours)

All in all a fun build with some ups and downs

It's a shame about the dings mate but don't lose too much sleep over them as it's a cracking result regardless; and as I said in the build thread I love the tonal variation you managed to get under the black surfaces - nicely done :cheers2:

Great end result and yes it is a right bugger when things wrong during a build.

Well done :thumb2:

Good job to complete it despite the setbacks, many people would have given up and binned the kit. :

It ended up great anyway and I like the tonal variations of the black surfaces, it looks really good! :thumb2:

:cheers2:
