Painting and weathering handle / stand

Post by jmatt »

I saw someone using something like this in a painting video a while back... a heavy stand and hand hold so that I'm not knocking off flimsy pieces and getting fingerprints on the thing while I'm manipulating it for painting, washes, mud, etc. I seem to recall he said it was glued to the stand but could easily remove it when he was ready.

Any suggestions about affixing the tank to it? What kind of glue could he have used, like water-soluble PVA? Anyone ever used something like this?

Model is just sitting on it.

Thinking a big dob of pva or masking fluid would do the trick.

How about a loop of masking tape on the underside of the tank?
