Hasegawa 1/72 scale SH-60B Seahawk

Post by SkyPainter303 »

I was trying to decide what next to build from my stash. I also haven't been around the forum in a good while and came across this group build. Since there are about 12 days remaining in this GB, I believe I can finish before the deadline.

This kit looks like it will be a pretty simple build, but there are many painting details to complete.

Here the rotor parts are primed, masked and painted. I used Tamiya Liquid Surface Primer thinned 50/50 with Mr. Color Leveling Thinner and Vallejo Model Air.

Belated welcome to the SIG and thanks for taking the time to join in - as the other guys have already said it's good to see you back posting again :cheers2:

This one runs until the 31st March so we've got another 20 days to hopefully get things finished.

Thank you for the kind greetings. It is nice to be here.

I got the pilot-dudes painted and the simple cockpit together. This going together strictly out of box and is painted as instructed using Vallejo Model Color and Model Air.

The fuselage is together and required some seam work to fix the step between sides.

I masked all the glass with Duck brand washi tape. I then installed all the clear parts and glued on all of the exterior parts that I could prime and paint with the rest of the fuselage.

Not sure whats up and I'm sure it's just my system, but your images will never load.
Who do you use to host your pic's ?
Is there some trick or hidden permission I didn't tick off in a check box somewhere that is preventing me from enjoying
whats on offer ??

I am not exactly sure why you aren't seeing the images. They are shared via Adobe Lightroom. Anyone else here not seeing pictures?

I've been away from this build for a short while. I primed and painted the fuselage in Vallejo Model Air colors. I am not thrilled with the colors because they seem too light with not enough contrast. Anyway, next step is decaling, then finish some missing details including the tail rotor.

Yep - I'm seeing the pictures fine so I'm wondering if it's something regional.

In any case it's great to see you're still making progress :th:

If you haven't seen it already I'm intending to extend the deadline on this one for a while to give people chance to finish off so no rush :)

Can you try an alternative access method Digger - like the 4G connection on your phone? Might be that, for some reason your ISP is blocking that hosting site...

    ISP it is then!! :D
Drop them an email asking why - might be something as simple as a mis-configuration. When the Web boomed the bright spark in charge of the external access put filters in place to stop "naughty" web sites being viewed. A good idea - but - one of them was "*sex*" .
Which promptly stopped anyone dealing with police forces, universities etc in counties like Essex, Sussex etc.
