A few cars ago for me was the Hasegawa 944 (the Blaupunkt one). It looks like the same tooling. Have fun.

I have been working with the engine. I added plug wires. The distributor was originally pre-wired and intended for v8. I cut the extra wires. The hose clamps are 1mm masking tape that I painted with Tamiya LP silver. Engine main color is allclad aluminium. Also used ak steel, Tamiya LP flat alu, silver, flat black, semi black. I am not entirely happy with the results.

feeling a little better day by day. I have already been able to be a little bit time at my workbench
I started car body work yesterday. There was surprisingly little cleaning in the body. I removed the molding lines with diffrent Ultimate sticks. The sunroof lines were way too low, so I deepened them with a mrp's panel engraver. The body is painted with Ultimate's gray primer using Ultimate apex ab

I have decided that I paint a blue car using MRP paints for the first time, and the color chosen for this

Does anyone have experience with these paints? Seems very thin.

It may take some time to start painting. Not quite dare in this condition to start playing with these
Added better engine photos earlier post.

I have decided that I am not build this anymore. The reason for this is the fact that I have completely lost interest in this model.

The reason for the loss of interest is due to the paint I chose for this model. I have already struggled with the bonnet three times, and i have to start over again. The paint behaves really unpredictably, and with that, I lost faith in this. After looking at the body of the car itself, there are a few small points in it as well, and this was the last nail in the coffin.

Maybe i build diffrent model, who knows.
Sorry guys for this.

I can see where your coming from but why dont you just drop the paint and go with another paint supplier that you have used before and have faith in. :thumb2:

I have plunked more than one car body into the oven cleaner to fully strip and start over
I try new paints too and get burned,Murat is half the fun of learning

Send her my way if you are that disinterested, I love 944’s :D

At the moment my mojo is gone for this build. At least i leave this outside of my bench now. Maybe i will come back for this model and build it. And will need new paint, and need to order that somewhere who will sell and deliver.

So its on hold for moment.

Are you saying that the paint has little lumps in it ?
Mrp lacquer paint generally gets good remarks, but I believe there is also a water based version. Which one are you using ?

I decided to continue this anyway :thumb1: . I painted the body directly on top of the old paint because it was good though. I chose Zero's Porsche Carrera Gt silver. Rest of body parts are in the bath

Interior is done. Flocked first time. Not best results, but it is okay. Dash decals ripped three pieces, manage to put them places.
