Replacement canopy

Post by rtbrown »

Please help!!! I am building a Tamiya F-14A Tomcat 1/48 scale and managed to roll my chair over the canopy sprue. Is there any where I can
find a replace J-sprue. I have emailed Tamiya. Searched many websites and ebay, but have come up empty handed. Kit is Series No. 114. I only have two hobby shops and they are not that great.

Thanks
Ron

Tamiya is pretty good for replacement parts. I'm surprized they didn't help. :(

Ouch that's not good - I can only add to what digger already said in that Tamiya are usual pretty good at sorting stuff like that out.

I guess they may be operating restricted hours/service at the moment due to whatever restrictions are in place in Japan so maybe give them a few more days and follow up again?

Our wholesaler Tamiya rep in Aust is getting some sprues for me. I bought a kit which was advertised as almost nothing missing one or two parts only. 6 sprues missing would you believe. Anyway he is ordering and tells me it will be February sometime when it arrives. Which makes it a 2 month wait so if you take that as a guide.
