Which magnifier do you use?

Hi all

I’ve finally admitted defeat and accepted that my eyesight ain’t what it used to be and that I need to invest in one of those magnifiers that you wear on your head.

I’ve looked on EBay and Amazon and there are too many to know which type is better than others so thought I would ask you chaps what sort you prefer or favour?

I use the Optivisor type. I say type as I have the genuine USA brand and Chinese copy. I find them both to be very good and glasses can be worn under them if needed. The Chinese copy friction knobs on the side of the head piece aren't quite as good, but with the optics you get a full set with these and are just as good as the USA version. I don't like the magnifier desk mount optics because it is just too hard trying to keep the work in focus and your field of view is much smaller.

I'd agree to go for the original Optivisors. I've had cheaper versions and the optical quality is nowhere near as good.
