1/72 Airfix Supermarine Spitfire MKI-a

Hello everyone,

Finished a quick OOB build today, found this kit in the loft which I must have bought years ago and just never bothered modelling!

Anyway, here's my take on the Supermarine Spitfire MKI-a. The undercarriage admittedly does look a little overdone but it looks better in person, and I could have done a better job of filling gaps along the middle seams but hey ho it was fun! - I still need to add line to the antenna but that's on order.

All in all I don't think it's bad for my 2nd aircraft build, so here's the pics:

Vallejo Model Air Gunship Green
Vallejo Model Air US Flat Brown
Vallejo Model Air Cement Grey
Winto Oil Ivory Black
Pebeo Burnt Umber Oil
Vallejo Metal Color Jet Exhaust
Tamiya Semi Gloss Black
Tamiya Black

Nice Spit' :thumb1: :thumb2: but the intrados weathering ... is too much for me.

Yeah I was a little heavy handed on the weathering...was too much fun!

May be a bit but you'll find pictures of the real thing more weathered then that.
