I hope you are soon on the mend mate. :th:

That's a nice subject to be building. I like the link and length tracks, should be good showing the natural sag.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Best wishes with the Covid Paul :th:

I built this back in the day great kit, mine had rubberised tracks which were rather tight as I remember. The injection pin marks look to be only on the large runs, in which case you shouldn't see them :th: They're not that deep and on the track pad, some weathering/wear will sort them :th:

Looking forward to you start mate :th: :pop:

Looking forward to watching this build. I went to Sheridan High School which was named after the Civil War General that is also used to name this light armored recon vehicle (light tank). On another note, I never understood why they called it the "civil" war as nothing about it was ever civil. Actually nothing about any war is civil.

In my first assignment after basic and AIT, one of our sister units had these and I was always amazed at their speed (around 45 / 50 mph).

Anyway, I digress.... this will be fun to watch.

Glad to hear you're on the mend Paul, just don't push yourself and rest when you need to :th:

Looking forward to seeing this one come together as I saw this kit while I was browsing in Hobbycraft last weekend and bravely walked away without picking it up!

Even pottering along with this, its classic tamiya and just goes together, the only real compliment pushout pins in awkward places. Because there are mud scrapers that go very close to the track I'm going to prime and first coat the chassis and assemble with the track and wheels and then follow with adding the hull and continuing. One.of the figures is supposed to sit in the loaders hatch but there's no real detail and again a load of pins so I've shut it and will put him elsewhere.

Annoying pins... :wall:

Nice work Paul ! Seems I miss this one in the GB!
Hope your Covid symptoms are going away ! Just finish mine a few ago and I've been fully recovered only for a week (that means no symptoms of anything at all and level energy almost back to normal).
Take care
Francis

thanks guys. I can report that I'm mostly over the Covidy bits but unfortunately it has had some knock on's into my Parkinsons which are unwelcome.

As ever with link and length tracks I made an utter horlicks of the thing, however I seem over a week to have battered it into submission :bash:

This is a bit of a mock up as the hull and deck are still separates so as I can paint out the hammer marks on the track if all the glue hasnt changed it into a non stick surface...

Image

Image

The base coat is AK Real Olive drab and I have done some panels and other bits with (wait for it) Olive Drab Faded :shifty: but I dont know how well it shows

cheers for now

No beyond my skill set I'm afraid and I'm far too lazy.... The kit came with the option of it covered or uncovered
