Evening all
I’ve recently returned to modelling after a long time away and I’m a big F1 fan and would like to incorporate that by specialising in building F1 cars from the past as well as the present and have decided to start off by building the Tamiya Honda RA272 Kit.
My question is that I would like to learn how to add extra detail to engines like wires and plumbing etc as well as upgrade techniques in general and was wondering if anyone knew of any resources where I could learn the techniques/materials involved etc.
Also can any recommend any builders that also build F1 cars to follow for inspiration on Instagram, YouTube etc.
Thanks in advance all

I have myself just returned after a long lay off and started to get my modelling "mojo" back.
Shaun.

Welcome. I too like the F1 cars and adding detail. I find that looking at pictures of the real car you can work our what size wires to use and where to put them. You'll need a pin vice and lots of small drill bits to make the holes to attach the wires using super glue (ca glue). Use solder, usb cables, etc for the wires. You'll work it out pretty quick once you make a start. Practice on a cheap kit before you start a good kit.

Do some serious poking around on a rainy weekend
Let me know if you are into something specific and can try to point in right direction

Thank you for the offer of help @Twokidsnosleep. To begin with I’m just looking to learn about the plumbing and wiring of an engine, although creating your own springs/coilovers would be good too as they look really cool when done
