1:48 Airfix Hawker Hurricane "naked"

Welcome to my YouTube channel, bear with me as I’m new to this :tongue:
Since photobucket “amended” their service I’ll be starting with slide-shows of my previous builds. Some will be split into different sections, others will be “complete” builds, when I find out which is more popular I’ll stick to that.
At present I’ve no suitable video filming device, if the channel "takes off" maybe I’ll add “how to’s” and build reviews, but that’s a little way down the line.

pop over and have a look

leave comments and suggestions and hopefully I’ll improve

1:48 Airfix Hawker Hurricane "naked"

I wanted to show the materials used in the construction of the Hurricane, the plywood, aluminium and "linen" areas as if they'd never been painted.

Missed this somehow mate :scratch::
Excellent video, really cool how you made the different materials
I would have sworn that was really wood around the cockpit
The Mosquitos were mostly wooden if I remember correctly…good topic for a similar build

thanks Scott

I did a Mossie' some time ago, my first "naked" build however I'm really tempted to have another go as then I used a PE mask and now the Uschi wood decals are so much easier to use, and give a better effect as they have more than one colour for the grain.

if the 1:32 Tamiya wasn't so expensive I would have a go at one of them, I must buy a lottery ticket :tongue:

Yes, that 1/32 Tamiya Mossie is what I was thinking
If I ever get to the Border Lancaster, would like to do one side skeletonized :think:

Given the cost of that Lancaster I would think you'd be incredibly worried about slicing the fuselage open. :lol:

    I would!!! :) There were some photos from Telford of a Shackleton that had been done thus - I think in 1/72 - and I got twitchy over that!! :lol:
