Tomcat's 1/48 ICM Arctic Cobra - Build Part VIII

Post by Tomcat64 »

So... final greeblies added & painted up and a little tidying was all that was needed to get this one over the line.

Aside from some of the lights being teeny tiny bits of clear styrene there was nothing too challenging

And that's us done for this one - I'll break out the grown up camera for some reveal shots at some stage to make it official :)

This was a really enjoyable build and I'm definitely considering picking up at least one more in another scheme as a contrast.

Thanks as always to everyone that stopped by & looked and commented :cheers2:
Cheers, Neil

There's really nothing to fear. A clay wash is just water and a bit of coloring. No matter how horrible the kit looks when the wash is put on, you should be able to wipe it off to the extent the surfaces of the kit look pristine and the only effect is on the panel lines. Its up to you whether you use the wash to discolor the paintwork or not.

Its almost counter-intuitive, but the lighter the paintwork, the better the effect.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

You wouldn't enjoy it - the parts fit, there's nothing missing & the decals all work fine unless you're an idiot like me :D
