Beautiful work in the cockpit. Not just the decals, the paintwork too :th:
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.

Thanks for the comments guys!:

A few more photos, primed with Mr Surfacer 1500 Black then the undersurface with Real Colours Neutral Grey 43 (RC928) and the upper with Dark Olive Drab 41 (RC926) some panels were then picked out in a lightened olive drab

The nose and tail were sprayed white and then the band masked off and the rest sprayed with SMS Signal Red

following Kev there seems to be a bit of a decal theme going on  . The decals that came with the kit were very thick and the smaller ones were very difficult not to silver, the larger insignia were very thick but were very difficult to move once on the model despite using a range of chemicals  . One on the side of the fuselage began to break up so I was forced to let it dry, rub it back and put the opposite side one over the top - fortunately the sheet had another insignia that was about 5mm bigger but its not too obvious ( I don't think...)

Paul superb primer and paint lay down

I've had similar further issues with some decals on my current GT build, nothing to post about as I managed to work around it. Basically they all seem so dam brittle, in that having to cut them where they cross bonnet and rear wing to body gaps, they just crumbled/cracked/disintegrated. Luckily these gaps are .25mm so can't really be seen, but I'm really beginning to wounder, if we're not seeing cost cutting which is leading to material degradation of time  :wtf:

Good save though and you did exactly what I had to do on the FW190

You could be right, product substitution perhaps.

Good save on the decals, it's my biggest worry with having a stash is the decals falling apart.
