DBMiller's Tamiya Jeep - Redeux

Post by DBMiller »

Repost of my build thread of the 1/35 Scale Tamiya WW2 Jeep that I began on January 11, 2026.

This is the version I'm building:

Started gluing! (From January 20th).

Some priming and painting started! I think the Tamiya Olive Drab looks a bit too dark. I have Model Master Acrylic that looks better or I could mix a bit of yellow Tamiya into the OD.

I haven't been keeping up with posting my progress so here is an image dump of what's been going on with the jeep. As of these shots I still have work to do on the wheels / tires before they can be glued on and some touch up painting on the vehicle itself before I can get the rest of the bits together. At least there are only about half a dozen decals!

Looking good. Not being a rivet counting nerd, just trying to help, you may want to paint the black/rubber on the windshield wipers before you add the glass. Nice work on the rifle and colors of the seat cushions.

Thank you for the heads up - I never gave the wipers a thought! :th:

Getting so much closer to the end!
Most of the little parts are on - but NOT the side view mirror. ;)

It looks great and still a few details to do, but almost there.
If your going to add the figure I hope the steering wheel isn't fixed in place.

Oh, it is! I may have left off the side mirror but I still wanted a little danger in my life. The figure JUST fits behind it. If I'm careful.
