I'm originally from Cape Town, South Africa but have been living in Saigon, Vietnam for the last 2 years.
I joined this forum a couple of weeks ago having read quite a few of the listed topics already
I'm a complete newbie to this hobby but always wanted to try it out. Couple of years ago I bought a 1/48 Academy F14A Tomcat (after watching Top Gun as a boy I always thought this is the most beautiful thing with 2 wings ever designed) and let it sit on my fridge looking at me.
So one day I decided today is the day I'm building this beast! Bought some glue and tools to get started - haven't done any research, completely messed it up. Dropped my cheap airbrush on the floor same day I bought it - of course needle first without the cap on it
Shops with paints and tools are scarce in Vietnam so I have to order most of my stuff on Ebay.
Been watching Paul's 'How to' videos on the BF109 and decided to build that one first .
So got myself a new airbrush, been training on some kitchen paper (I can write my name perfectly Paul
But lastly and more importantly I joined this forum because I've noticed how humble and helpful the fellow bloggers are here
Happy Modelling
Henk
