Hello From Texas!

Post by wbill76 »

My name is Bill Plunk and I'm a styrene-aholic! Just kidding of course...it's all under control and I can stop at any time...or something to that effect, just don't tell my wife.

Thanks to the efforts of Lee I've found my way here. I've been building models since I was a kid with the usual breaks in between and settled into WW2 armor as my preferred genre of choice with the occasional foray into other areas from time to time. I'm also the founder and jack-of-all-trades for My Hobby Info which Lee has so graciously provided some space for down in the Traders Section: http://www.intscalemodeller.com/viewtop ... 221&t=5237

Due to losing a bet for example my latest build has been working on a Trumpeter 1/32 Bf 109F-4/Trop...definitely a build outside my normal comfort zone but one I'm having fun with. It's about 95% done and I'll be glad when I can get back to dealing with road wheels instead of rivet lines! :) Here's a couple of pics of where things stand at the moment by way of introduction.

I'm looking forward to spending some time here and getting to know the community! 8-)

Thanks Paul! If you're curious you can see the build log I've been keeping here: http://www.bpmodels.net/Model/Album/php ... .php?t=525 on how the kit builds up. It's a nice kit IMHO but can be a little finicky with the fit around the engine interior in particular.

I picked it up on sale for around $35 so am not complaining at all in that regard. ;)

Welcome, Bill! :hi: I'm glad you joined ISM... I know I'll gain from having you around. I just read your article, "Build a German destroyer", the cover story of the April FineScale Modeler. Incredible work!!

Sounds a lot like the way weather rotates around here...we had a very mild winter which inevitably means the summer will be a scorcher. :)
