Fine Molds 1/48 Snowspeeder Modified T-47 Airspeeder

Post by PugmooG »

Hi Guys, Here's a quick look at this kit. Fisrt time reveiw for me so go easy :)

1. Box Art. Nice Pic on the front, not much else on the sides unless you are fluent in Japanese.

2. Open the box, usual stuff

3. Two bags of sprues, well sealed.

First ok no worries. But the second one! They must have had 1/2lb of best butter on them sprues, to fit that lot in there. oh eck!

4. All is forgiven, on closer inspection the detail is top notch (in my newbee opinion) comments please guys? Please forgive poor image quality, new Camera still getting to grips with it :

Sorry guys I knew i'd mess up, hit submit insted of preview. The flash was on when I took the pic of decal sheet, not that shiny to look at. I know I may have missed a lot of things out from a normal review. Overall cracking kit. My pics don't do it justice. Any comments good or bad greatly, appreciated :)

I've been kicking around getting this kit for awhile. Thanks for the in box review.

I wanted to ask, does it bug anyone else that the decals are "pre-chipped?" It's actually preventing me from picking this up. Maybe I'm letting it get to me too much.:

Hi Bill, Yeah I was thinking of scanning the decals (using a high DPI say 600), and then a touch up in photoshop. Then I will print out on decal paper : See how it goes!

Ah, that's a great idea. I'm curious to see how that turns out.
