Zero Fighter and Space Shuttle Egg Planes

Post by Pedronski »

My Daughter, Amy, and I are going to build the following Egg Planes: I'm building the Zero and as Amy loves all things space I've got her a Space Shuttle to build.

First, the Zero...

I quite like the Manga style and this is something my daughter will definitely like as she is just starting to take an interest in Manga and Anime.

There's not much here at all.

It really looks quite simple.

I'm going to choose option 2, I've been thinking about getting a Zero and I've always liked this colour scheme.

Now for the Shuttle...

This one looks positively complicated compared to my Zero.

Here are my Zero pictures

Image

I masked the canopy with frog tape by individually cutting out each piece. I used a technique I found on you tube by Genessis models.

Image

I had primed the model with Vallejo Grey Primer and painted the model. I used Tamiya Paints I used XF-11 (J.N. Green) for the cockpit, XF-12 (J.N. Grey) for the fuselage. I used Vallejo Model Air Black and Silver for the engine and prop. I also used them for the landing gear.

I applied a coat of future and applied the decals.

Good work! I'm glad to see that your decals on the shuttle didn't self destruct like mine did!
