Right go and sit in the corner and write 100 times (I won't be heavy handed next time)
I am sure it will come out in the wash. These lessons help us in the end, the main thing is not to rush and try and think things through before we start.
Keep at it.

F’ing white
White is separating in the bottle after shaking....brand new just opened bottle. And yes I shook the heck out of it.
Grey Ultimate sprayed like silk no problem.
Sucks as I like priming in white, but don’t trust it anymore

The white can be a little fussy. Did you try warming it? It certainly shouldn't separate that quickly. A little heat may keep it from doing that.

I was in a rush before a game, that we lost by a goal, and now am pissed
I didn’t warm it, house was cold as heat went off, just wanted a Fine mist/ dusting of white for bright aluminum
GD white is temperamental and not to be rushed through
My own fault, all is ok now.

Oh I may have pooched my first primer and had to strip and retry, BUT the aluminum top coat has been nailed.

This Mr. Metal Color cut with MLT near 50:50 sprayed like heaven through my H&S Ultra, just so smooth and slick.

My god it was amazing. The big Bench Vent sucked out all the fumes and I didn’t get a single whiff.
Marvellous night spraying, highly recommend these paints.
Thanks to JonMW and Matt for talking about them and making me think of trying what was sitting in front of me on my shelf

Passing swiftly over the misfire with the white primer the finish on that Aluminium is stunning
As for that Cosworth barking into life that brings back some memories.

Yes, moving swiftly along.....
It is like I need a kick in the pants every build just to keep me honest.
I have Easy Off'd something on all my builds, save the Ferrari Daytona....but I am not done with that one yet
I swear everyone at Lotus must be stone cold deaf. I would have ear muffs on just to be near that beast.
They start that thing up inside the shop and I see no fire extinguisher or safety stuff around. I hope they have a good ventilation system.
In one of the videos, there is a guy is inside the tub...he would be toast if they had a fire as the car is suspended up on stands.
I love the videos though, GREAT references and I am watching them over and over

Here you go Scott.
Had another look and you can just make out a pipe on the lotus.
These are pic from 1978. If you look closely you can just see the brake pipe coming out of the lower A arm.
Hope this helps.

Excellent Tay, thanks
I got some movement forward in the nose cone area for the brake system and battery today
I had to put the fireproof membrane down to cover the damn ejector pin marks I missed...and cause it looks cool
Time is looming large for decanting the BRG rattle can paint for airbrushing

Thanks
A smarter man would have seen those ejector pins earlier and either filled them or glued the paper before the battery and wiring went in.
Clearly I am not that smarter man
When I do make the black JPS, I am hoping to make a super clean and detailed build
This one is ok so far, but far from perfect

I want that book as well, just a bit overspent at the moment
Paul did an awesome video on ISM about decanting and I watched Dr Cranky as well

Hi Scott loving this build mate some fabulous details going in, just a thought, you mentioned you were waiting for MFH braided lines, I use guitar strings mate, look just like braided hose, in fact are more in scale with the braid, and are very much less expensive.

Good idea, have some somewhere I will have a look.
Have clear, braided and more hose joints on the way
Also getting ready to do this...
I found a bendy straw on the dog walk this morning and much to my wife’s chagrin picked it up.
Sealing to the spray nozzle using Sugru silicone...a lady from the UK developed it I do believe
Wish me luck, at least I will be green for St Patrick’s day

Just joshing
Freaking brilliant Paul
I followed the video to a T and got this
Three smears on my glove taking out the straw....hey, what does two fingers up like that mean in The UK

???
I did just as Paul said....as much as you need and a bit more; didn’t even smell the spray paint; it comes out way slower than expected; nozzle and straw held firm and perfect.
I got some cling film and used the straw off cut as a vent chimney. Will let this sit for a day or two now.

to Paul for such a great video of doing something I was dreading.
I have a bit of a reputation in the family for being messy

Missed your presence on the live show, hope all is ok
I masked up the lower cockpit and sprayed some decanted BRGbTS-9
Unfortunately I did my normal 50:50 mix with levelling thinner so it is a super fine pigmented mist on there
After re-reading I see I could have used it straight up...will try that tonight time willing

Cheers everybody for looking and commenting.
I am pretty happy with the decanting technique if not the actual paint result...want that shiny clear Paul is getting.
Really need my four month old Gravity order to come through, but in reality either I cannot trust them or Canada Customs to deliver...actually I don’t think I trust either. So will have to find another avenue and kiss my $60 goodbye
Anyhow, got some work done on the steering wheel and dash
Not perfect as the black is chipping through them to silver, but I like the effect. I was lucky to salvage the middle dial decal as it got pulled up when I tried to apply the metal bezel ring to the gauge...the sticky clear film stuff pulled the decal. I just cut it to shape and stuck it in like that.
The front suspension is all attached in now as well

I repainted the black and all the buttons...god I hate close up photos
I cannot unfog the middle dial as that is the thick clear plastic that glued to my decal. I have to live with it
I will watch that video soon, puppy dog calls with crossed legs that it is walk time
