Thanks Guys, I didn't spray the Klear in the end but did get a finish I am pleased with for the decalling.

Thanks Conrad, just keep practicing and look how others do their modelling, you can pick up lots of tips that way.

As long as you do the best you can and you are happy with the end result that is what matters

Nearly finished the decalling, thank goodness, such a lot of small fiddly ones. The main rotors still need to be painted, assembled and decalled.

So progress pics,

I have done a bit more today, the last few decals added then pin-washing and dry-brushing.

I still have to add the screen wipers, the bars by the sliding doors and the pilot's doors.

Rear rotor attached

I have started the main rotors and their support brackets, so it will not be long now.

More progress today, assembled, painted, pin-washed and dry-brushed the main rotor assembly.

It's a shame all the decals are on the underside.

Thanks Guys,

Mark the base is from Verlinden and is on card, I have had it for a number of years and came with some plain concrete slab sheets and some with painted lines on. These were for 1/72 but I think it works well.

Hi Geoff,

You said it, it certainly is a big beast in all area's. I've gone through the instructions a couple of times now and there are as many decals on the inside of the cargo area as there are on the entire exterior - oops.

I know I left a few very small ones off the Lynx but it is surprising what a difference they make when completed.

Just do a few and have a break, then start again, etc, and they are done in a couple of days.

Thank you Guys,

For the detail definition I gave the rivets, etc an oil based pin wash and then when dried a light dry brushing using a flat brush with a minute bit of white artist's oils straight from the tube.

Glad you found it useful Robert and Thanks.
