Thanks guys!!!

Ok lets see if I can remeber what I did since last time...

First, painted the tail and nose cone RLM70 (65)
Careful with thin mix to keep some pre shading. Then i lightened it with some medium grey and did some bleaching.
Then darkened it (same mix) with some black to do some post shading.

Next I did a "Dirty mix" of black and Brown for overall post shading/weathering.
Very thin, 80-20 ish mix for panel lines and other areas.

Finally some chipping...

Next up is to clear coat Everything to protect the paintwork Before decals and later washes.

Pics...

Ok so whats happening?

Well..

She was all glossed up and ready to go...decal time.
Did what I Always do, then...WTF!!! :wtf: : :bash: :wall:
Image

You tell me...they just fall apart!?!??
Image

Image

Just to do a sanity check i quickly pulled out a sheet of Kits World decals (fantastic decals BTW) and, well same procedure, same water, same Everything...Went off the paper and on perfectly. (just as expected)
Image

Just shrinking nicely after a couple coats of Micro Sol.
Image

Im Clueless...
Will send a mail to Creative Models, see If I can get another sheet? If so, maybe I will make the deadline.
Typical, on the home straight and on Schedule and this crap had to happen. :(

Anyone else had similar problems with this kit or HobbyBoss decals?
:cheers2:

Awesome work on the weathering, that chipping effect looks really convincing! Havent had those kind of problems with Hobby Boss decals. However, Ive really had some mixed experienced with asian decals. Sometimes theyre fine, sometimes theyre horrible. Not the same consistensy like the european manufacturers. Thats why I love that manufacturers like Meng and Academy often end up using Cart-decals.

The Germans built some lovely birds in WWII, didn't they? Then they came up with those difficult paint schemes to frustrate us! Nice work on this one.
