Reveal-Tiger 142 Tunisia 1943. " 37km to Tunis "

Post by rwsmith14 »

Thanks Mike for your contribution to the community and all that you have taught me. This is my second armour build ever. I consider myself an aircraft builder but since this GB started my armour stash has grown fast. Really enjoyed this build. I really enjoyed building the diorama base. There will be many more armour builds/dioramas in my future . As I have many thoughts, ideas and plans in my head.

Thank you, Devon & James for heading this SIG !!!!!! :cheers2: :thumb2:

Tiger 142 arrived in Tunisia 27 November 1942.

She was destroyed in an airstrike on 28 February 1943, in the Battle for Beja.(Hunt's Gap Valley)

Seriously, does that look like an airstrike to you? That neat hole in the turret side was caused by a Churchill. Tiger 142 was blown up, twice, after it was abandoned, but the knockout was a tank strike.

Now, a word about the build. It is clear that you had some trouble getting the tracks to fit? That's because they are both the wrong way around.

Great looking build and dio Sir. Every time I see a tiger (1 or 2), I always feel sorry for the allied tank units. Those things were the ultimate big cats!!

Great stuff.
Its been tried and tested, it works! So don't blame the system if you're no good.
