Forgive the sideways pic, having photobucket troubles!
Sort of sprue shot, bought this second hand!

Started on the seats, thought I'd give oil paints a try (don't ask me why, I don't know!) nice to paint with, but take sooooooo looooooonnnnnggggg to dry! Won't be doing that again, lol!

Not much to report here, cockpit in, fuse and wings come as a two part clamshell assy, so that's half the kit done in two parts!

Did have a fair bit of filling to do though, so that kept me busy!

Oh, and this little note from revell had to go too!

I'm doing this 'in flight' so I needed some pilots. Kit doesn't provide any, so I raided the spares box. These guys are both 1/48, look at the difference!! I'll explain this as a 'bring your kid to work day' scenario, lol!

All masked up and primed. Tried alclads primer again, haven't had success before, but it went on quite well this time.

Main colours down, went for a bit of 'pre weathering' on this one.

Gloss coat and decals on. Decals went down very well with a little micro sol. Just had two that were a bit stubborn. Had to resort to the blade for attitude adjustment!

Added a dark wash, before a Matt coat.
Now before anyone gets their panties in a twist, this is a showbird, so would probably have been kept clean... But... I don't care!! I like my navy jets to be dirty, and this one is mine, so dirty she shall be! Lol!

After the Matt coat, I armed myself with various weathering substances. You name it, it's probably on there! Oils, enamels, clay washes, pigments, acrylics, and anything else I could try out, lol!

Also gave the stores a going over too.

Once all that was dry, I added the stores, stuck a sharp metal rod up her behind, and voilà!

This was so much more fun that that gannet, Even though this needed way more work! More pics in the reveal section!
