Optivisor

Post by Dakspyker »

Hi,

My wife offered to buy me an optivisor. Took about a week of complaining about eyestrain, but eventually she got the hint. lol.
Anyway, could somebody who knows them please advise on this one:

Which power and focal length would be best for 1:35 figs and tanks?
I wear prescription glasses, I imagine you can use the visor while wearing your glasses?
Thanks for any insights!

I have the optivisor DA-5 with 2.5X lenses, with is ideal for working with photo-etch and small parts.
That is why I got them in the first place.
You have to remember, the bigger the magnification the shorter the focal length is.
Mine focus at about 25cm, with my glasses on that gets even shorter, so glasses are no problem.
One thing I noticed that they block some of the light so I use a strong Daylight lamp to compensate.
