X-Wing: The Force Awakens!

Post by DBMiller »

I've never reviewed a kit before so this will be more a 'look in the box'. Also, I don't have a video camera so this will be text and photo only.

This is my first Bandai kit and I must say it looks pretty good!

The box cover and a look at some of the instructions. It's all in Japanese but looks to be easy enough to follow.

The main sprue. Multi colored parts include the blue side panels, clear red laser blasts, and clear two part canopy. The decals look pretty nice as well. Also included is a set of stickers to use instead of decals.

The wings and the stickers.

Two pilot figures. Not too bad.

More parts. The desert base and other bits, including a one piece canopy with no glass. I guess so you can see inside better all closed up.

Close ups of more of the parts.

There you go!
ON THE BENCH: Do I have to say? :(

Pretty cool looking kit
Very similar to the X Wing Bandai brought out last year. It goes together amazingly well and finishes off nicely with weathering.
I found the base a little weak and easy to break the attachment area between model and stand....little circular doodad with fins for multi-position adjustments.
Anyways, good review and nice score on this kit :thumb2:
