When i looked in the instructions they say that inside of the fuselage should be painted grey. But on cockpit pics of the real aircraft the inside is painted blue :) evan some cranks should be green instead of grey.

thats no problem rodrant couse when its finished you want see it anyway :)
I painted my last one blue too :)
Its alot of small things in the instructions you have to look twice to get it right :)
Like the exhoust pipes, on the left upper hole it should be 2pcs in one hole but on the right upper hole only 1pcs. I noticed that in the end of my last build :) but i had not mounted the pipes yet when i noticed it :)

Its a really fun kit to build so i really think you should build one sometime :) And thanks for the good luck :)

Yesterday evening was the big filler and sanding evening :) I've glued the fuselage halves together and filled and sanded and filled and sanded and filled and san...... And so on :) so now I really hope the seam want be seen otherwise its just fill and sand some more :)
The seam line on this fuselage was much harder to get rid of compared to my last I-16.

Looking good Tom. The photo three up there where you have the preshading on the white primer looks great. I would be tempted to leave it like that and bang a gloss coat on it. Bit weird I know but it does look nice.

Thanks guys for the kind words :)

Now the engine is painted :)
I used vallejo model air 71.072 Gungrey as a base color and gave it a dark brown wash. After that i painted black around the cylinders with vallejo 71.057 Black and last i gave the cylinders a drybrush with Humbrol enamel 11 silver :)

Sorry for the bad pic :)
