Soviet Steamroller - KV1 & T34 Final reveal

Post by TheTroyster »

Let me be honest here, the only reason I built a diorama for these two Russian tanks was so I could properly display my CyberHobby Orange box Panzer III.

I didn't want to have the Pzr. III knocked out, but I did want it to look non-threatening - maybe out of gas, broken down you decide. Thus, I did add snow on the tops of the wheels to show it as having sat there for a time.

build thread can be viewed here:

Okay enough of my babble:

Here you see how I kind of laid down all the brush as the T34 just went thought this area:

Amazing diorama, the snow looks so realistic. I really like the frozen water, stunning effect you have made.

Fantastic !! :thumb2:

The winter cammo, snow and ice blends together perfectly...

I'm amazed how you manage to fit everything into the dio without ending up looked crammed.

Great job and a great result!

...and I agree - the Pz III looks awesome! :pistols:

Cheers

Definitely your best work I've seen posted here Troy, you should be very proud!!! Great winter camo on the Russian tanks, superb diorama landscape and the house is a masterpiece all by itself just to name a few of the highlights! I think something like this would take me a whole year to build. Great Job : : :

Very seriously good work. The weathering on those tanks is excellent and your snow is wonderful.
Great story telling too.

Wow, such realism and awesome diorama skills. Figure work and poses are amazing, blood and smokes and all. WOW
A couple of these pics look like photos of the real thing
You know I always appreciate diorama efforts, just so much more depth to a build

This is just WOW! Your dio shows war as it is. People get killed and this not a game. I'm sure some black and white or sepia pics would knock everybody off their feet, 'cause this is most realistic. Very, very well done, mate!

:jd: :jd: Thats a incredible diorama! i like so much stuff going on that i didnt look to much at the tanks, instead my eye was drawn to the guy having a ciggy, or the frozen water, or the hut, then the guys in the scene positioned in such a way that you expect them to move!
Epic just simply Epic :th:
