So this will be the little reveal of my MiG-15 UTI that came from the Eduard Royal Class MiG-15 kit
In.my opinion the UTI was the best of the 4 kits in this box because it had the best fit and required a lot less sanding and filling then the other ones
But i prefer a 1/48 over the 1/72 scale and these planes are small to begin with so any bad fitting parts look worse then they would on a larger scale
But they are pretty nice kits andi still had good fun building them
And i liked this paintscheme as it is the plane of one of the most famous pilots of the 20th century
It depicts UTI 625 flown by Yuri Gagarin ,the Soviet cosmonaut who was the first man in space
He and his co pilot died in this plane after a crash near Moscow
It is believed that Gagarin noticed a airvalve was open and to get back in to thicker air (oxygen rich air) he pushed the plane in a steep dive
In that dive he and the co pilot probably blacked out and thus crashed the plane killing both of them
This is bases on investigations from both Soviet and later a international team of investigators but because military planes often didn't have a black box they are not 100% certain
So without further ado
Here are the reveal photo's of my MiG-15

And here it is on it's own shelf in the display cabinet with the other versions of the MiG-15 and a MiG-15 eggplane

And that is all i have for this build
Thanks for stopping by and having a look
Untill next time
Cheers,Mark
